One to make you Smile!!

GOT MILK??

I just couldn't resist this is one of my favorite pictures.

Bath Time...

Darren is learning the importance of having a back up diaper ready and learning that it is essential to put on a diaper as quickly as possible after a bath. Darren was home for a four day weekend and helped bathe Darren Jr. and learned that when I say it is time to put a diaper on that we should really put a diaper on before Darren Jr. makes a mess all over the towel mom just washed and all over the bed sheets. All in all we had a great weekend together and cought up on some much needed rest. Here are a few bath pictures for all to enjoy!!!
Darren Jr. really enjoys starring into the mirror while we bath him. It is really cute to watch him look around in the mirror at us and himself. The second picture was taken before he made a huge mess in the towel. He is so handsome all bundled in his towel after a bath.
This picture is a bit more difficult to see, but I am trying to take a picture of his long wild hair. On the top of his head he has really long hair and after you bath him it sticks up. Need to buy him a brush already...

First Impression and Quality Time!!!

Life with a newborn... It can be all said in three words...
Visitors, visitors, visitors... Well, that is other than the usuall three words that describe a newborn: Eat, Sleep, and Poop!! In the first few weeks there has been many visitors that have come from near and far...

Picture 1: Meeting Grandpa and Grandma Henman for the first time in the hospital. I have spent many hours in the arms of Grandma but still waiting for many of my Grandpa's to hold me!

Picture 2: Wow, what a proud Uncle Danny! You can sure tell he did a great job raising his daughter Tyler!! Uncle Danny held me as long as the nurses would allow him to stay in the hospital room and was very excited about my arrival, finally...

Picture 3: Battle over the baby! Here I am meeting my Great Auntie Barbara and my Cousin Diane. Even though Grandma and Great Auntie Barbara got to babysit me for the first time, it was still a battle for who gets to hold me. Grandma was very jealous cause Cousin Diane wanted to hold me cause she traveled from Fresno and only got to stay for one day, and Great Auntie Barbara came from Salinas and was only staying for a few days too...

Picture 4: Yes, that is my Auntie Debbie!! She just couldn't resist to meet me on the day I was born, so she put on a mask to be sure that I didn't get sick. Although she was only able to stay a short time, she has come to visit me many times at home.

Picture 5: This picture is of my adopted Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma. Marilyn is our neighbor and has always claimed to be my (Danica) adopted Grandma and I have always called her mother Marie Grandma as well. So, while Grandma Marie is here to visit all the way from Kansas she came over to meet me for the first time!!
Picture 6: I couldn't resist... This picture just makes me smile each time I see it. This outfit was from Great Auntie Barbara. Mom put it on me to keep me warm and shoved me into my car seat... Once I was out of the seat the outfit looked fine.
Thanks for all the visitors and great stuff that everyone has brought for Darren Jr. or Little "d", it is all very much appreciated!!! Loves to everyone and more pictures to come...

A Look Back...

Picture 1:Tuesday 1/16/07 Our first trip to the Hospital, thought forsure my water had broke and I would be having a baby soon, only to find out it hadn't and I was in pre-labor.
Picture 2: Friday 1/19/07, this picture was taken at 2 p.m., just before I started pushing... Glad I had such great support throughout the whole thing!!! Cause those smiles didn't last long after this picture! Thanks Darren for all your love and support!!!

Picture 3:Man is Mommy tired!!! Four days of Labor, 3 hours and 48 minutes of pushing, 30 minutes of stitches, 20 minutes of breast feeding, and finally two seconds of sleeping (priceless)!!! This is one of my favorite pictures, partly cause I remember those few seconds of sleep and how wonderful they felt then and how much I will cherish them from now on...
Picture 4: Mommy enjoying her first DAY with Darren Jr.! Daddy spent the day with Grandma to go home and prepare the house for Mommy and Baby, what a relief knowing the house would be clean when I got home. Thank You Darren, Kathy and George!! Darren has truly done a lot around here and has been a wonderful help with the baby...

Darren Jr. all dressed and ready to go watch the Super Bowl. Mommy couldn't find a Colts outfit and Daddy claims he is a 49er fan, so I dressed him in Colts colors! Even though Darren Jr. is not even close to being old enough to remember, but I am glad his first Super Bowl was the year the COLTS WON the SUPER BOWL!!!

We Are Back!

Now that my Wireless Internet is up and running. I would like to Thank everyone for all the encouraging words and thoughtful welcomes that have been given to me and my new family. As it is Super Bowl Sunday and the COLTS are preparing to kick some Bears behinds, I am going to make this post short and sweet. Darren Jr. is doing just great. Once we got his schedule turned around, he has been a wonderful baby. Usually only wakes up once throughout the night and eats very well. He is a very alert baby once he is awake, but when he is sleeping he is completely out, even with a ton of noise. As for Darren Sr. he has been the best father a child could ask for, he changes just about all of the diapers when he is home, and holds and cuddles his son for hours when he gets home from work. Darren Sr. also takes very good care of me. Each night he takes out all of the trash from the day, takes the dog out to go to the bathroom before bed, gets the dog treats, fills up my water bottle, fills up all four water glasses placed throughout all of the feeding areas, and makes sure that I am taking all of my vitamins! THANKS HONEY FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!! Thank You Sarah, for taking the time to update my blog and share the photos that you did!!! This is just the beginning of all the photos, I will post more often now that I have wireless internet. Hope you enjoy and again thank you to everyone for your support, couldn't have done it without all the family and friends!!!
SO, I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO UPLOAD PICTURES ON HERE, AND EVEN TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT PICTURES AND FILES AND IT WOULDN'T WORK... SORRY YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT TILL LATER TO SEE PICTURES!
