I really wish that I had a memory card for my camera. Tonight we are going out to Debbie and Clinton's house for dinner for Joey's Birthday. Dinner sounds so yummy and I hope that I can at least keep down a tiny piece of Tri-tip, red meat is really hard for me to eat. But, baked potatoe sounds really good. I am looking forward to having dinner with my family and hanging out at Debbie's house, her new room is really relaxing and looks great... I enjoyed my last visit there on Thanksgiving, Debbie and I took a few minutes to enjoy her room and just sit there and talk, it was great! Anyways, sorry Joey I won't be able to take any pictures for you tonight. Love you Little Roo and hope you have a good Birthday, I know you will like my gift....

Good or Bad??

So, I had a Dr. Appointment yesterday and everything went well. This time I didn't get upset and frustrated and have a very hard winded conversation with the Dr. I just simply let him do his job and trust that my baby and I are in good hands. Anyways, each time I go to the Dr. they take a Urine sample, Blood Pressure, Fetal Heartbeat and a measurement of my stomach growth. Everything is just fine other than I can't decide if it is a good or bad thing when the Dr. looks at you after doing all these things and says with a loud expression "Wow, quite a BIG growth spurt these last two weeks, huh?" I only have two explanations for why that might have happened: One, if I don't eat something at least every hour to two hours I get a headache and a stomach ache; and Two, in those two weeks was Thanksgiving, what pregnant lady can resist Cheesecake, Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Crisp. And those are just the desserts, add in all the Turkey, stuffing, mashed patatoes, cranberry, etc. So, that is my explanation for the 7 pound weight gain and 3-4 cm stomach growth. I suppose for the health of the baby I can afford to gain those pounds in the last month or two. It's not like I don't get my exercise walking in the freezing cold nights up and down the driveway, but this tummy really feels like it is getting out there. Unlike other pregnant women that I have seen, my stomach is going straight out rather than up or down. Thanks for sticking with my boring blog and reading these long posts...

Technological Errors....

Well as we all know, I haven't had a computer for a long time. As a result I haven't emptied my memory card on my camera and it was completely full. So on Sunday I frantically tried to hook up Darren's laptop as a last result and download the pics from my memory card to the laptop. Well, everthing there went just fine but it would not allow me to delete the pics off the memory card using the computer, so I unhooked the memory card and put it back into my camera and was in a huge rush to try and delete pictures so that I could get to my babyshower and take some new ones. Needless to say, my batteries went dead in my camera and the camera automatically shut off as I was deleting pictures. To my suprise I already had another set charged, and began to put the charged set into the camera when I got the two sets mixed up and didn't know which were which, as I finally figured it out and turned the camera on.... Only to find out that in the process I somehow messed up my memory card and now all my camera will say when I try to access pictures for review is "Corrupted Files"... I am able to take pictures but unable to review or access them?? Stupid technology anyways...

Okay so my whole point behind this fusterating expierence was simply to say that my camera is broken until I am able to figure out how to get the "corrupted files" deleted or until I am able to get a new memory card and hope that my entire camera isn't destroyed :( Therefore, I was unable to take pictures at my babyshower and will now have to depend on Darren's Aunt to make me a CD of the pictures that she took and then I will hopefully be able to post some of them.

Overall, other than being extremely fustrated with my camera, I had a great time at the shower and am very thankful!!! I received many great gifts and had even more fun going through them again at home with Darren. He even put together our stroller and car seat set late last night. It is very nice and we were both extremely excited that we had actually received that item from our gift registry list at Toys R Us.

We have intentions to hopefully all this week after work continue and maybe even finish our Nursery this week... Other than grocery shopping tonight (definatly need lunch and snack food) because you need to have food/energy in order to tackle a project of this size... We have emptied the room, except for the huge desk that will need to taken apart and we have bought a quart of paint and painted a test spot on the wall. The color is just perfect and we will pick up another gallon of paint and begin painting.

I am at work and need to continue working, I will update more later.

A Baby Story!

Wow, how time flies!!! Today, I am starting is my 34th week, just six more weeks after this... It seems like just yesterday, that I was sitting at Home Town Buffet for Mother's Day Breakfast and feeling extremely sick. The smallest bite of food made me want to run straight to the bathroom and man did it seem cold that day, or maybe my breasts were just extra sensitive. It was a shot in the woods but I mentioned all of this to Darren and we decided right there in the parking lot, that first thing Monday I was going to take a test... Now, we are attempting to some day soon start preparing our Nursery for the new arrival that is supposed to be here just six weeks away!

The baby and I have avoided the hospital in the last few weeks and seem to be doing just fine. I am a little disappointed in the ultrasound tech at the hospital cause I told him that I did not want to know the sex of the baby and the first thing he said was "You might want to turn you head cause it is pretty obvious", now Darren has his hopes up that it is a boy... So, I guess now that Mommy is feeling better, the baby has decided to be very active in the last week. The baby has become very familiar with Daddy's touch and voice, it really enjoys when Daddy comes home and talks to it and we both enjoy the evening when he rubs my belly and talks with the baby!!! All in all things seem to be doing just fine and we have another Dr. Appointment of Monday. Lets see if I can beat last appointments record of a 3 pound wait gain in a two week period. Maternity cloths are beginning to get tight and a little short on the belly so I guess I will finally be fitting into size Medium in Maternity... Not looking forward to the huge belly in the next few weeks to come and hope that the stretching doesn't show.... Thanks for all the support from my family and friends...

Now for the fun stuff and upcoming events! This Sunday, I am very excited to be attending a special Baby Shower. The Shower will be given by Darren's Aunt Vicky and Aunt Janet. I am very excited and happy that my mom and some of my sisters will be there physically and one at heart, to enjoy the fun with me... I can't wait! We will foresure need to set up the Nursery or clear a room, any room, to fit all of our baby stuff into the house. I am hoping to be able to update pictures soon, as we are hoping to get stuff situated at the house so that we can hook up the laptop to the Internet. Maybe I will be able to post pictures from the Shower for those who are unable to attend physically but will be there in heart!!! Lots of Love for now, and please don't give up on my blog yet...

Post #41, A Tribute to Genetics!

As many of you know or don't know, I spent the weekend pretty much in the hospital. Much of it, I believe, is contributed to family genetics. Yes, as did Debbie and Sarah, they believe that I have or had (hopefully had) Kidney Stones... Very painful experience. I woke at about 5 a.m. on Saturday and had some very sharp pain in my lower back (Kidney area) and had a difficult time going to the bathroom, I could only squeeze out a few drops at a time and it felt like I had an extremely full blatter, but still only a few drops... Anyways, went to the hospital and had tons of very painful test done, including the nurse and doctor smacking me in the Kidney area to be sure that is where the pain was (OUCH!) So, after a night in the hospital they determined that I was hydrated enough (after letting my IV run dry twice and not being able to regulate the fluids so that the blood wouldn't flow into the IV or so that my arm wouldn't go numb from the cold fluids) and let me go home. Luckily I was able to get a very skilled and wonderful Doctor (Dr. Mellum, Debbie's OB when she was pregnant with Kyle and Joey), too bad I couldn't say the same for the nurses. But, they did not have the results back from the cathiter (sp??) culture that they took, so I had a regularly scheduled appointment with my Dr. today and hopefully they will have the results from that test sent to his office sometime today and that will help determine forsure if it is Kidney Stones. I also showed some type of infection in my blood so I have to take Antibiotics for 10 days. But, all in all I am feeling better and the baby is just fine! Tuesday (10/24), My Dr. Appointment yesterday went well and the results from all the many tests done over the weekend had come in. My Dr. was unable to determine forsure if it was or is Kidney Stones and not much they can do to find out forsure without extensive testing that is uncommon or unhealthy during pregnancy. So, unless this same problem occurs again, I need to stay well hydrated and come back if I have any more problems. I am messuring just fine stomach wise and the baby's heartbeat sounds very regular. I will have another appointment in 2 weeks! My total weight gain for the entire pregnancy so far is 12 pounds, and I am in my 28th week (6mon), looking forward to January already. Even the small 12 lbs I have gained has made me go to bigger sized maternity cloths, yikes! Thanks for reading yet again another of my long, long blogs. More Than A Week...

Because it has been more than a week since anyone has posted on there blog, I figured I may as well sit here all by myself at work while I have nothing to do and type my whole life story! Are you ready?? Just kidding, so I have no way of putting pictures with this, so just read on and be bored along with me... I am definatly showing more since the last pictures were taken of my little bump. But, I don't look like I am 25 weeks or almost six months pregnant... I do have a check up appointment scheduled for Monday 10/02 and will let everyone know how things are going then. Darren has finally been able to feel the baby kicking and enjoys resting his hand on my stomach while laying in bed watching tv, so that he feels every kick.
As some of you may know we have bought a new car. We got a Ford Five Hundred, if you haven't ever seen one go online and check them out, they are a wonderful car considering it is a ford. They are the safest car made today (ford bought out volvo and this car has the safety features of a volvo). The technical color of my car is Titan Green Metalic, it is a mixture between a soft ivory green and silver (most comments so far have been how much people love the color). I know, I am sure you are wondering why I haven't posted pictures yet, right? Well, when we purchased the car it was very late and the car dealer was closing and the detail shop was already closed, so when we drove the car home it was really dirty and had bird droppings on it from the dealer lot. So, I was waiting til I had it detailed which was when I took it in to have a liner sprayed inside and out to protect exterior and interior. Well they also had to get the rust off of the seat belt latch and instead of taking the bracket out of the car and grinding the rust off, they decide to leave it in the car and grind the bracket on my seat and put a hole in my seat and stain it, not to mention the metal pieces that came off the grinder and got into my seat... Neadless to say they are going to replace my whole entire back seat. Therefor, I have not taken pictures yet because my car is still a mess from them ruining my back seat and I am waiting for them to detail the outside again so that it is nice and shinny in the picture. Enough complianing, I absolutly love my new car!!
On a final note, our neighbors at the beginning of the road are selling their property and moving into town and no longer want to have acreage and animals. So, because they bought a Buffallo as a pet and have raised it as a pet, they are not willing to give it away unless they know that it will be taken care of and not eaten... The kind and loving animal lovers that Darren and I are, we are more than willing to take in the Buffallo and keep it as our pet, Darren is overjoyed and can't wait, he has always wanted a buffallo and greatly appreciates them letting us keep it on our property to be taken care of.

The Love of My Life

Forever My Love! Bozzo, Slyvestor the cat and I usually sit out on our nice green lawn in the shade waiting for Daddy to come home. The first pic reminds me of a child on the first day of school. On Tuesday Darren was able to make our Dr. Appt. to see his first sonagram of the baby! He was very excited as he and the Dr. discussed the babys development in medical terms as I sat there with nice warm jelly all over me. Overall the baby looks wonderful! The first pic is of my first sonagram early in the pregnancy and the entire baby is off to the left, arms and legs are not fully developed yet in this pic. The second pic was taken at this sonagram and is of the babys leg. Looks very healthy and is sure strong when it kicks. And finally our favorite pic of them all, in this pic the baby is saying "Hey Mom and Dad I am just fine!" If you look it is a pic of the babys arm and a thumbs up!!! Hope you enjoy and can't wait until January to find out if it will be a boy or girl! Loves to All!

Carol got a great joy out of taking these pictures. I can't even believe she got a close up like this... It is a debate each day which is bigger the belly or the bust? Either way I am proud of both!!!
Hopefully, Debbie got as much joy out of hearing Carol's reaction when she first seen my belly, I know I did. I love all my sisters and family very much and have got great joy out of each and everyone of their reactions. Mom and Carol have been some of the best so far. They are beginning to compare to Darren's actions each night he gets home from work and adores my belly!!! He is going to be a great father and I can't wait!

Proud Graduate

There was much time and effort on the part of Darren's parents put into his graduation party. He was very proud and loved every minute of it. One of the highlights of the celebration was the desert table. Other than the Graduation cake, a lot of time and effort was put into a patriotic theme party. Including several decorated cupcakes.

Congratulations Graduate!! These picture were taken at Darren's Graduation party back in July. It was a wonderful day and it seemed as though all had a great time. Darren very much enjoyed having all of his friends and family at the BBQ. In the first picture with Darren and I is Jon. Darren and Jon spent many of times together in Sacramento during College. Since, they have become good friends. Jon was also a great help at the Graduation Party, Thanks to all who also helped make the day special for Darren!!!

Loyal Viewers

To My Loyal Monkey Brat Viewers:
For those loyal viewers that haven't given up on me and that still check my page, I send my deepest apologies for not updating my blog in over a month. No excuses, except many stomach pains,headaches, foot aches, etc. etc. And a very busy life. We have been busy farmers in the last month trying to situate all of the cows, and dealing with the neighbors many baby goats. Not to mention the many weeds and long grass that needs to be mowed 2 times a week to keep it under control. Okay so enough complaining. The baby and I are actually doing just fine. I am beginning to develope somewhat of a stomach and had my loving, adorable, hilariously funny sisters take a picture of my stomach as it is slowly but surely showing. It is my intention to update my blog after work tonight with the pictures that were taken today. I am about 4 1/2-5 months right now, or 19-20 weeks. My next sonagram is scheduled for Sept. 5 and at that appointment, if we so choose, they can hopefully determine the sex of the baby! We haven't decided whether or not we want to know yet... Henman Family Reunion

In honor of Grandpa Conrad Henman and Grandma Georgia Henman. I am unsure how the photos will be arranged, but, Photo 1 is of Darren's remaining Aunts and Uncles. Darren's father was number 5 of 15 children, some how he appeared to be the favorite of his parents, his first name George is after his mother Georgia and his middle name is after his father Conrad... It was very interesting to see the range in age from the oldest child to the youngest, surely no one would be able to guess the order of all the children, I am sure there are several mistakes. Photo 2 is of all the Aunts and Uncles with two Great Aunts added to the picture, these wonderful women don't miss a single family event and are very wonderful to sit and visit with.













Photo 3 is all the women in the family, I would try to name each of them but truly can't remember all the names and would run out of space on the page, Uncle Troy, like several other Henman family members has been diagnosed with Cancer and enjoyed being in the middle of all his sisters and all the attention. Photo 4 is of all the men, I was having difficulty getting a photo that included everyone looking in the same direction, but this picture was the easiest, I just stood on a table and they all quickly looked my direction, they truly are all men...
Photos 5 is of Darren and Aunt Kay. I have been told by many relatives that Aunt Kay looks just like Grandma Henman. Aunt Kay lives in Ohio and doen't get to come out to visit very often. But, it is a great pleasure to have her around when she is here. I love her southern roots and enjoy listening to her. Darren loved having Aunt Kay at his parents for a few days after the reunion. Finally, Photo 6 is of Aunt Kay, Uncle Troy, and George, this picture was very difficult to take due to the fact that Goerge and Aunt Kay are two peas in a pod and when they get together you can laugh for hours, add Uncle Troy into the mix and you will be laughing even after you head home. Overall, it wasn't too bad of a day other than the heat.

These two pics are ones that I just found cute, Jake was a huge help while he was at Sarah's. Guess he is practicing for when he comes to babysit mine! I Love You Jake!!!













Once again, I know our trip to WA is old news, but wanted to share these last pics of our trip. The first pic was taken very shortly after we had got on the train (mind you we loaded at 3:15 a.m. rather than 1:55 a.m.). Jake is fast asleep because he got the seat next to the window which was nice and comfy as everyone sits by the window. The other picture was taken just before we stepped off the train 22 hours later... Notice the lady to the left, we were able to talk with her for about 10 minutes. She was very interesting to talk with. She had loaded the train in LA and took it all the way to Seattle (on the train for over 36 hours). She was going to spend the night in Seattle and then get on the next train that went to Canada, where she lives. Talk about a long train ride. This picture is of the downstairs portion of the train, mostly used for luggage but there are some seats down here. I wonder if Jake or I will ever take a train again? I am sure that I probably would just for the experience and wonderful views...

Sisterly Love

Sisterly love for a week or two anyways... I really enjoyed my trip to WA to visit with the Arnolds. But, it was really nice to spend some time alone with Sarah and enjoy the friendship of sisterhood. It had been a long while since Sarah and I had spent time alone, and it made it even more special for me when she would take special care of me while I was sick... Like bringing me juice as I lay half knocked out on her shower floor, or as I hang out her car door getting sick as she drives down the road, cause a bus was coming behind her, or as she laughs so hard that I start to laugh and then get sick all over myself.... Times that I will cherrish forever, thanks Sarah for making my trip one to remember!

Having Fun In Seatte

Well, I know it has been a while since I have left Sarah & Brent's... But, at least I am getting there with the pics, plenty more to share too! So here they are. These pics were all taken after the Mariners game on Sunday.

This pic is my favorite. It is oh a Pregnant Seahorse. One of the only pictures that really turned out well with my camera.

On the way back to the ferry after an exhausting WALK around the aquarium with Audrey strapped to me and a few stops in some gift shops, at last the pregnant lady gets to rest for um like 2 seconds!

Aunty and Audrey having fun looking at all the critters and possing for the camera... Felt like I was caring around my twin with those long legs.

Just chillin'! Doesn't he look so relaxed and handsome, Jake was a great help with everything and very well mannered the whole trip!

This picture is of different types of Starfish, it is part of the exhibits that you can put your hands in the water and touch any of the critters that you would like. It was fun to touch the sea annenoumies (not sure on spelling?) and feel there little suction things tickle your fingers.
